Half the Sky

Half the Sky’s (HTS) mission is to provide family-like nurturing care in the lives of orphaned children in China. HTS provides individual nurture and stimulation for babies, innovative preschools that encourage an early love of learning, personalized learning opportunities for older children, and loving — and most important, permanent — foster homes for children whose special needs will keep them from being adopted.

Our family has been sponsoring a 2.5 year-old girl living in the Sanya Social Welfare Institute in the Hainan Province of China. In August, we received news from Half the Sky that she had been adopted. Praise the Lord!! We were assigned a new infant girl who was 16 months this past Christmas. Please join us in praying for her as she waits to be adopted at the Chengdu Children’s Welfare Institute in the Sichuan province of China. For more information, check out Half the Sky’s website.
